Paper Conservation Workshop Successfully Held at Our Museum
Our Paper Conservation Workshop was successfully held at the museum as part of the activities leading up to our upcoming temporary exhibition, “The Circle of Life.”
Book, archival material, and paper conservator Ioanneta Papavlasopoulou introduced participants to the history of paper, its preservation, and the methods used for its conservation.
The theoretical presentation was followed by a practical demonstration of basic paper conservation techniques. Participants also had the opportunity to observe the paper immersion process in deionised water.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Ms Papavlasopoulou for her excellent presentation and to everyone who attended. We look forward to welcoming you to our next event!
